Brooke McCurdy: Architect, Storyteller, Alchemist

The kind of architecture I practice is at a granular level, less about the building as object, but something completely different: That place where people and products and brands and experiences meet. It’s the messy, every-changing, street-front face of our majestic cityscapes- ironically, where they come alive. It’s a totally different platform than typical architecture, as the building’s success is not a symbol or icon, it’s a living organism. Along my design journey, I’ve embraced the importance of storytelling, and the creation of high-performance solutions that transcend language, culture and commerce. We constantly inspire new ways to stage the basic human need to interact, to share rituals and connect with the world and one another. Here are a few projects, that, with my team, created a broad variety of customer experiences, each one designed to be a destination as important and memorable as any our profession produces.
